The following are short descriptions of each product and service. Clicking on the main product name below will take you to a more detailed page for that product.
Rosetta Store is a sophisticated utility to retrieve data stored in MPE-created STORE or OBRiT Backup+ backup tapes (or "STORE-To-Disk" archive files created by STORE or OBRiT) and restore it onto HP-UX, Linux, or Windows systems. Rosetta Store understands most MPE file and data formats, and offers a wide selection of automatic data transformation capabilities, including the ability to restore TurboImage databases into Eloquence databases, XML, CSV, and other formats.
Rosetta Store for Linux and Rosetta Store for Windows are in development.
BFree is a utility to reclaim Extent B-tree entries needlessly used by TurboIMAGE. In addition, BFree can report information about the Extent B-tree table.
DBCSV
can extract data from your IMAGE/SQL database and export it in comma delimited
format (often called ".csv" files).
DBHTML
can generate descriptions of your IMAGE/SQL database in three formats: HTML, XML, and
simple ASCII schema. The HTML output is fully internally hyperlinked, and can contain
links to user-provided documentation for every set and item.
DiskPerf
performs performance characterizations of your computer's I/O
system and attached disk drives and related storage subsystems.
It tells you how fast your disks are, how fast your system can transfer
data from them, and just how well those fancy disk arrays are actually performing.
DiskPerf is available for HP e3000 (MPE/iX) and HP 9000 and HP Integrity server (HP-UX) systems.
Allegro now offers professional support for
the GNU Compiler Collection on MPE/iX, including the GCC C and C++ compilers.

resolution, or if you just want to support the porting and enhancement of
free software the HPe3000, we can help.
HourGlass is a date/time simulation tool, with extensive support for the testing of batch and on-line application programs with future or past dates and times. HourGlass is available for HP e3000 (MPE/iX) and HP 9000 and HP Integrity servers (HP-UX).
Please note: HourGlass for RS6000 (AIX) systems is no longer available or supported.
INTRINS/iX
is a package of "MPE intrinsic look-alike" routines for use on various Unix/Linux platforms, including HP-UX.
By simply recompiling your SPL code into Native Mode SPLash! code, you gain the immediate performance improvement that rewriting your code in another language would give you, but without introducing new bugs or making a large investment in programming time.
We have SPLash! compilers for both
MPE/iX and
HP-UX.
TAPEDISK
copies an arbitrary tape to disk (optionally compressed) and, later, back to a new tape.
TAPEDISK also includes TAPETAPE, a direct tape to tape copier.
Additionally, some products from Allegro and other vendors can read the TAPEDISK on-disk tape image as though
it were a physical tape.
WIPEDISK
erases ("wipes") disk drives on MPE/iX and MPE/V systems.
The erasing can be quick (one pass), or security-agency thorough.
X-Over (pronounced "Crossover") is a media conversion utility which understands the details of the MPE/V and MPE/iX :STORE tape formats and is consequently able to convert back and forth between many-reel low-density formats and few (often one) reel high-density formats.
Currently, X-Over will copy from, to and between 9-Track reel to reel tapes (1600 bpi and 6250 bpi), DAT/DDS 4mm cartridge tapes, DLT tapes, Exabyte 8mm cartridge tapes, and 9144 cartridge tapes.
Allegro Consultants, Inc., offers a data recovery service where we attempt to recover files from damaged STORE tapes.
We support both MPE/iX and MPE V STORE tapes.
